(Spirit Lake)– The Spirit Lake Fire Department was called out around 10:30 this (Thurs.) morning after getting a report of smoke coming from some trees along a portion of the bike trail on Lincoln Avenue north of 28th Street. It’s in the area of where a controlled burn took place Wednesday.
There were no reports of any injuries and no structures were threatened.
Firefighters were able to quickly get an upper hand on the situation. They were on the scene not quite an hour.
