(Spirit Lake-) The weekend brings the Annual Spirit Lake Community Fire Department dance.
C hief Dave Kollasch says this is one on the primary fundraisers for the Fire Department, with proceeds helping to update and maintain equipment. “We put a lot of money into our equipment, pagers, radios and communications equipment. Also our vans, trucks, and our extrication equipment, in case something does arise.”
He notes that flyers have been mailed to area residents with information and $5 tickets attached.
He also adds that a longtime area favorite will provide the musical entertainment for the dance, with The Senders set to perform at the Benefit Dance.
The benefit runs from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday night at the Dickinson County Expo Center in Spirit Lake.
