(Spirit Lake)– The Spirit Lake Community School District is looking at options for a new Elementary Principal. It was announced late Wednesday Kasey Huebner has submitted his resignation as he’s accepted the Superintendent’s position at the Panorama Community School District.
Huebner has been with the Spirit Lake Community schools the past 12 years, having spent seven of those at the Spirit Lake Elementary as a teacher for five years and Principal the past two years.
In a press release, Superintendent Dr. David Smith thanks Huebner for his years of service with the district, adding that while they are sad to see him leave the district, that they are excited for what the future holds for Huebner and his family.
The release goes on to say the Spirit Lake Community School District “is currently exploring all options to fill the vacancy left by Mr. Huebner’s resignation.”
