(Spirit Lake)– Krista Smith has been announced as the new Executive Director for the Spirit Lake Chamber of Commerce.
Smith is a Spirit Lake native. She most recently served as Director of Unified Programs for Special Olympics Iowa, where she led statewide events and managed multiple school programs. Her background includes volunteer coordination, communication and championing meaningful community experiences.
Krista and her husband, Trevor, who works for the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation, have a one-year-old daughter and enjoy being active in the community.
Krista will begin her new role at the Spirit Lake Chamber of Commerce later this month.
