(Spencer)– The Spencer school board has narrowed the list of candidates for the Superintendent’s job there to four.
They include Dr. Carl Turner, an Assistant Superintendent at the LeMars Community School District; Steve Grond, Superintendent at the Boyden-Hull Community School District; Dean Christensen, Superintendent at the Deuel Community School District in Clear Lake, South Dakota; and Terry Hemann, Superintendent at the Mineral Point Community School District in Wisconsin.
The four finalists were whittled down from a list of 38 candidates who applied for the position.
The candidates will be interviewed during sessions scheduled for this Thursday and April 4th-6th. Community receptions will be held each of those days at 4:30 p.m. at the Spencer Schools Central Administrative Office Building.
Current Superintendent Greg Ebeling is stepping down at the end of the current school year. He’s accepted the head position at the Pella School District.
