Spencer Police Investigate Armed Robbery Of Convenience Store

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– An investigation is underway into an armed robbery of a Spencer convenience store Monday night.

Spencer Police Chief Mark Lawson says officers were called shortly after 9:00 p.m. to the Casey’s General Store at 11th Avenue West and West 18th Street in Spencer.

Authorities say a lone male subject wearing a ski mask and armed with a knife had entered the store. The suspect ordered two employees to open a cash register. An undetermined amount of money was removed and the suspect fled on foot.

No one was injured.

The suspect is believed to be a dark-skinned male wearing a puffy down-filled coat and a black ski mask.

Anyone with any information should contact the Spencer Police Department.
