(Spencer)– City officials in Spencer say the water is NOT safe to drink in area south of the Little Sioux River and north of Highway 18. They say the water IS safe to drink in all other areas. They add that resources for laundry services will be communicated out when available.

For debris, residents of Spencer may drop items at the Transfer Station at no charge. If a dumpster is needed, please call the transfer station at 712-580-7270, there will be a charge for that. Debris may also be set on the curb in 3 categories:1) Household Hazardous Waste Items: Motor Oil, Paints, Solvents, Household Cleaners, Drain Openers and Pesticides2) Furniture3) White Goods.
