Spencer Man Sentenced On Federal Meth Charges

October 04, 2022 Steve Schwaller

(Spencer)– A Spencer man has been sentenced to a little more than 20 years in prison on federal drug charges. The U.S. Attorney’s Office says 55-year-old Armando Silva Reyes pled guilty in February of this year to one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and two counts of possession with intent to distribute meth.

Evidence at plea and sentencing hearings show that between January 2020 and February 2021, Silva Reyes and others were involved in a conspiracy to distribute meth and that on at least two occasions, Silva Reyes distributed more than a quarter of a pound of meth to individuals cooperating with law enforcement. On February 3rd 2021, Silva Reyes and others received about three pounds of methamphetamine through the Spencer Post Office.
