(Spencer)– A Spencer man faces several charges in connection with an incident this past Sunday in Spencer.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were at 1004 4th Avenue West in Spencer attempting to serve civil papers on 58-year-old Uwe Ozolins when they saw Ozolins allegedly assault his brother.
Ozolins was then arrested and transported to the Clay county jail. Once there, authorities say Ozolins managed flee from officers and foot pursuit started. Ozolins was recaptured after officers deployed a taser on him.
Ozolins was booked into the Clay county jail on charges of simple assault and escape from custody.
He was later released after posting bond.
