Spencer Man Escapes Injury After Colliding With Semi Trailer

December 30, 2025

(Spencer)– A Spencer man escaped injury Monday but was issued citations when a vehicle he was driving collided with a semi on Highway 71 on the very north edge of Spencer.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 23-year-old Milton Rojas of Spencer was driving a 2004 Honda Accord southbound when he collided with a snowdrift across the road, causing him to lose control of the vehicle which spun and went into the northbound lane, colliding with the trailer of a 2003 Peterbilt semi driven by 31-year-old Nathaniel Oulman of Winnebago, Minnesota.

Rojas was cited for no valid driver’s license and no insurance, accident related.

About $2,500 in damage was estimated to the vehicle he was driving. The semi trailer sustained an estimated $6,000 in damage.

The collision took place around 6:45 am.
