(Spencer)– A Spencer man has been arrested for alleged sexual abuse.
Spencer police say officers arrested 25-year-old Reuel Fletcher of Spencer around 11:00 p.m. Monday in a motel room in Spencer.
Fletcher was wanted on a warrant for sexual abuse in the third degree.
The arrest didn’t go without incident, though. Police say he pulled a knife and held it to his throat as officers approached. The officers then deployed a taser, causing Fletcher to fall to the ground, dropping the knife.
He was then taken into custody.
Two other females who were present at the time weren’t injured.
Fletcher was booked into the Clay county jail on charges of sexual abuse in the third degree and interference with official acts.
