(Milford)– A Spencer man was arrested on multiple charges following an incident late Saturday night in Milford. 46-year-old Jeffrey Allen Clark was arrested on six counts of threats of terrorism…class “D” felonies; eluding…a class “D” felony; two counts of assault on persons in certain occupations…aggravated misdemeanors; and numerous traffic-related offenses.
A criminal complaint states that a DNR officer was responding to a call around 11:44 pm from the Dickinson County Communications Center of a reckless driver heading northbound into Milford. The officer spotted a vehicle matching the description a short time later in a parking lot on the north side of Milford, with the driver, identified as Clark, allegedly standing outside the vehicle, appearing to be very intoxicated. The complaint states that Clark got back into the vehicle and took off, allegedly driving into oncoming traffic lanes as a pursuit ensued. It eventually ended a short time later on P Avenue in Milford.
The officer alleges in the complaint that Clark refused field sobriety tests and was uncooperative, threatening to kill law enforcement officers and their families, as well as himself. He eventually was transported to the Dickinson County Jail where he’s being held on a $50,000 bond.
