(Spencer)– A local hospital is receiving additional recognition. Spencer Hospital was recently named one of the top 20 rural and community hospitals in the nation. The facility was also recently named a Top 100 Rural and Community Hospital, with the latest honor elevating that distinction even further.

The latest distinction from the National Rural Health Association places Spencer Hospital among the highest-performing mid-sized rural hospitals in the country. Determining factors include both inpatient and outpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspective, cost and finance.
It’s the fourth time Spencer Hospital has earned a place among the Top 20 rural and community hospitals.
