(Spencer)– Spencer Hospital has once again been recognized as a Top 100 Rural and Community Hospital by The Chartis Center for Rural Health. It’s the ninth consecutive year Spencer Hospital has received the accolade, and it’s the only Iowa hospital to have earned the distinction each year since the award was created.
The Chartis Rural Health Performance index that’s used to rate hospitals is based on specific data from a variety of public reported sources. It looks at things such as managing risk, achieving higher quality, securing better outcomes, increasing patient satisfaction and operating costs.
