(Spencer)– A two-vehicle collision around 5:30 pm Friday at the intersection of Highway 71 and West 18th Street in Spencer sent multiple people to the hospital.
The Iowa State Patrol says 25-year-old Breanna Ferreira of Spencer was driving a 2013 Ford Focus northbound on Highway 71 and was turning onto West 18th Street and that 64-year-old Aaron Hyatt of Milford was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on Highway 71. An accident report says there was a third, non-contact vehicle in the southbound inside lane that prevented Ferreira from seeing Hyatt’s vehicle, resulting in a collision.
Both drivers and passengers in the vehicles, 66-year-old Becky Hyatt of Milford and 26-year-old Storm Walvord of Spencer, were taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
