(Spencer)– A two-vehicle collision Tuesday in Spencer sent four people to the hospital.
Spencer police say vehicles driven by 16-year-old Megan Sanderson of Dickens and 70-year-old Allen Trojahn of Spencer collided at the intersection of Highway 18 and St. Luke Drive.
Sanderson and a passenger in her vehicle, 14-year-old Kyle Toillion of Ruthven, along with Trojahn and a passenger in his vehicle, 66-year-old Joyce Trojahn of Spencer, were all taken to Spencer Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.
Police say Trojahn was traveling on Highway 18 and had stopped to make a left-turn onto St. Luke Drive. They say Sanderson was westbound and failed to see the vehicle driven by Trojahn.
Sanderson was cited for failure to maintain control.
Five thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 1999 Pontiac driven by Sanderson; a 2003 Chevrolet pickup driven by Trojahn sustained an estimated two thousand dollars in damage.
The mishap took place shortly before 6:00 p.m.
