(Spencer)– The Spencer City Council voted unanimously Monday evening to fill the vacant ward 4 seat by appointment. Those interested in seeking the position will fill out an application. They will then appear before the council and make a presentation. At that same meeting, the council will then make a selection.

Anyone living in ward 4 that’s opposed to making an appointment would have 14 days from when the appointment is made to file a petition calling for a special election.
