(Undated)– Law enforcement agencies across Iowa are taking part in the Click It or Ticket campaign as the start of summer travel season arrives with the Memorial Day weekend.
Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau spokesman, Genie Sterbenz (GEE-nee STIR-benz), says the campaign is already underway and runs through June 5th.
He says the focus for this timeframe is the use of seatbelts and how they save lives. The Iowa D-O-T reports 94 people were killed on Iowa’s roadways last year who were not wearing seat belts.
