Southern Minnesota Crash Involving Multiple Vehicles Sends Two People To The Hospital

(Fairmont, Mn.)– Multiple injuries were reported in a five vehicle chain reaction collision Tuesday evening at Highway 15 and Torgerson Drive in Fairmont.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a 2018 Cadillac SUV driven by 91-year-old Paul Moklebust of Yuma, Arizona and a 2008 Cadillac driven by a 16-year-old juvenile were involved, along with a 2008 Chevrolet Impala driven by 20-year-old Caitlin Jordan of Trimont; a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox driven by 47-year-old Kelly Perkins of Fairmont and a 2020 Nissan driven by 26-year-old Rayanna McRoberts of Cosmos, Minnesota.

Moklebust sustained life threatening injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Fairmont hospital. A passenger in one of the vehicles, 41-year-old Kayla Sybrant of St. Paul, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the Fairmont hospital.

Troopers say all of the vehicles were northbound when they collided. It took place around 5:40 pm.
