October 07, 2022 Steve Schwaller

(Fairmont, Mn.)– A collision Thursday evening in southern Minnesota involving a farm truck and a car sent two people to the hospital.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a juvenile female was driving a 2010 Ford Fusion and 60-year-old David Zellmer of Fairmont was driving a 2001 International semi truck and trailer. Troopers say both were southbound on Highway 15 near Fairmont and that the semi was slowing to make a turn when the two collided.

The female juvenile driver of the Ford fusion, along with a female juvenile passenger, were taken to the Fairmont hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No injuries were reported to Zellmer.

The collision took place around 10:00 pm.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office assisted on the scene.
