(Undated)– A South Dakota law that would have allowed Summit Carbon Solutions to supersede all local and county rules restricting where they can build a permitted pipeline was repealed by voters this week. Summit says they’ll apply to the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission for a permit regardless.
Summit plans an 8-billion dollar, 25-hundred mile carbon capture pipeline that would run through 29 Iowa counties, including Dickinson.
An Iowa landowner currently has a case before the Iowa Supreme Court regarding Summit’s use of imminent domain.
