South Dakota Murder Suspect Arrested In Milford On Drug Charges

November 22, 2014

(Sioux Falls, S.D.)– A man wanted in connection with a murder in Sioux Falls was arrested on drug charges early this (Monday) morning in Dickinson county.

The Minnehaha County, South Dakota Sheriff’s Office says 18-year-old Samuel Lint of Sioux Falls was wanted in the death of 19-year-old Michael Stevens of Sioux Falls. Lint was arrested in Milford on drug charges. He’s currently being held in the Dickinson county jail on bond of 20-thousand dollars. He’s expected to be extradicted to South Dakota, where bond has already been set at 500-thousand dollars. Authorities there say Lint will likely face charges of murder in the first degree and robbery in the first degree.

South Dakota authorities say Lint was the last person to see Stevens alive.

Stevens’ body was found in a car at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds in Sioux Falls last Monday.

Authorities say autopsy results show Stevens was shot three times with a 20-gauge shotgun. Authorities found the gun in a snow bank southwest of where Stevens’ body was found.
