(Spencer)— Aaron Thomas, son of Applington-Parkersburg Football Coach Ed Thomas, who was shot and killed by a former player in 2009, will be the keynote speaker at a couple of events this coming October in Spencer.
Aaron will speak at Spencer High School at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 2nd and again at 7:00 that evening at the Clay County Regional Events Center. Both events are free and open to the public. He’ll share his narrative, titled “My Family’s Story: Courage, Passion and Overcoming the Odds”.
The event is being made possible by Season’s Center for Behavioral Health, Spencer Community Schools Foundation and the First Congregational Church through a donation from the Dvergsten Grant.
