(Arnolds Park)– Some popular groups that have performed in the past at Arnolds Park will be returning this coming summer with appearances at the Roof Garden Ballroom. Marketing Director Paul Plumb says Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone, who were here last year, will be performing Sunday, June 18th…
“Shortly after the show he contacted us and wanted to come back, and we had a good turnout for that, people loved the show. It’s just one that we went ahead and scheduled that again.”
Also making a return appearance will be Tommy James and The Shondells…
“It was the first show that was ever in the new Roof Garden. He was the grand opening act and had a great turnout for that and just put on a great show. Hard to believe he’s not in the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame with all the hits that he’s had and it’s just a fantastic show that he puts on. A few of his band members that are with him are still from the very beginning, so, you know, an act that really stands the test of time, for sure.”
They’ll be performing Sunday, July 16th. And Plumb says Felix Cavaliere’s Rascals will be performing for the first time at Arnolds Park Sunday, August 13th…
“Another great band, actually they are in the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame, is just another act with a great list of hits to choose from. And, you know, you go to any of those shows I think the whole night you’ll be saying oh, I recognize that one, oh yeah I recognize that one, you know. Some of the younger crowd maybe would think oh, who are those guys, but like I say every song you recognize when you hear it and have heard it before.”
Plumb says tickets for the shows are now on sale at roofgardenballroom.com…
“And we went ahead and released them now just because we thought what a great Christmas gift for people, you know, for the person who doesn’t know what to get for mom and dad or grandpa and grandma that has everything already, you know, what a great thing to put in their stocking.”
