(Emmetsburg) Sarah Colonna is not only a stand up comedian but also an actress and a New York Times best selling author. Wild Rose Casino in Emmetsburg is bringing this talented comedian to the stage on Friday. Colonna talks about her career so far…
“You know, I’ve been really lucky. I started off, I’d say, like, the main thing that got me out there was, um, this show on E! For many years, it was a talk show called Chelsea Lately. Chelsea Handler was the host, and she featured three comedians a night on that show, and it was a great it was a really cool launching pad. We just talked about nonsense. And, um, you got to write your own jokes and write your own material and sort of, uh, shine on that show. So that was really my my first big job, and I ended up getting to write on it, then produce on it, and then we did a spin off, and then that helped me with headlining and then getting to work on TV shows, and ended up doing a couple episodes or like ten episodes of shameless. So I definitely have have gotten to do a lot of really cool things.”
