(Spencer)– Those attending this year’s Clay County Fair Powered by SMU will notice a few things have been moved around. Fair CEO Jerome Hertel says one of the changes is in the location of the antique tractor club’s display…
“We kind of moved the courtesy cart path to the other side of the road and so that kind of caused a little bit of a chain reaction for some of the exhibits and stuff we have out here. So the Antique Tractor Club kind of got displaced and they’re moving down to the southwest part of the grounds, kind of where the Farmer’s Bank Stage is, and we moved the Farmer’s Bank Stage across the road, you know, about 50 to 80 yards across the road, so still in the same general location but moved that to what we thought was a little better location for that. And then we replaced the grounds act down there which this year is the Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show. They’ll be just north of the Farmer’s Bank Stage. So what we tried to do is kind of create a little hub of entertainment down there in the southwest part of the fairgrounds.”
Some improvements have also been made to some buildings and other amenities on the grounds. We’ll have more on that in future newscasts.
