(Undated)– Some area city councils hold their first meetings of the new year this (Mon.) evening.
Appointments, the annual report from the fire department, an updated 28E agreement for the Iowa Great Lakes Drug Task Force, union agreements for police and public works, administrative salaries, and an engineering agreement for the Phillips Pavilion project are on the agenda for the Estherville City Council, which convenes at 5:00 pm.
Filling a vacancy on the city council is among the items on the agenda for the Spencer City Council this (Mon.) evening. The ward 4 seat was previously held by Donavan Wunschel, who is now the city’s mayor. The council will also consider a pre-design agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation pertaining to the construction of a round-a-bout at the north junction of Highways 18 and 71, or the North Y. The Spencer City Council convenes as a committee of the whole at 5:45 pm with the regular council meeting to follow at 6:30 pm at City Hall.
