Snowmobile Collision Injures Two

(Milford)– A collision of two snowmobiles Saturday night in Milford injured two people.

Milford police say Gabriel Toft of Spirit Lake was operating a Yamaha eastbound in the south ditch of 28th Street east of the Humane Society and Vicki Haas of Arnolds Park and Leigh Ireland of Terril were both on a Ski Doo MXZ which was westbound. Authorities say the two sleds collided nearly head-on near the crest of a hill.

Haas and Toft were taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare with what was described as non life-threatening injuries. No injuries were reported to Ireland.

The collision took place around 10:15 p.m. Saturday. Police say it remains under investigation.

The Milford Police Department was assisted on the scene by the Arnolds Park and Okoboji Police Dpeartments, Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, Milford Rescue, Arnolds Park-Okoboji Rescue and the Lakes Regional Healthcare ambulance and paramedics.
