Smoke From Canadian Wildfires Impacting Air Quality In Parts Of The Region

May 13, 2024 Steve Schwaller

(Undated)– Smoke from canadian wildfires is impacting the region. Air quality alerts are in effect for southwest Minnesota until noon today (Mon.).

The smoke is coming from wildfires that are burning out of control in portions of British Columbia and Alberta. A cold front that moved the region Sunday is allowing the smoke to make its way into our region.

Those with respiratory conditions such as asthma are being told to take the necessary precautions.
