(Spirit Lake)– Spirit Lake High School will host 13 area high school jazz bands participating in the Iowa High School Music Association State Jazz Band Festival this Saturday (Jan. 12th) from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Sami Center for the Performing Arts.
Local jazz bands that will be performing include Harris-Lake Park, directed by Jeremy Britton, at 9:00 a.m.; Graettinger-Terril, directed by Tyler Pederson, at 9:25 a.m.; and the Spirit Lake High School jazz band, directed by Jody Ingwersen, will take the stage at 2:40 p.m.
Other participating high school jazz bands will be from Belmond-Klemme, Boyden-Hull, Estherville-Lincoln Central, Garner-Hayfield, Kingsley-Pierson, LeMars, Marcus Meriden Cleghorn, Newell-Fonda, Remsent St. Marys and Storm Lake.
