(Spirit Lake)– Spirit Lake High School will host the Iowa High School Music Association State Jazz Choir Festival Monday (February 4th).
Festival Manager Rich Nicklay says the event will be held from 3:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Semi Bedell Center for the Performing Arts.
Local jazz choirs that will be performing include Okoboji, directed by Erin Orness at 3:00 p.m.; Harris-Lake Park, directed by Kathy Greve, at 4:46 p.m.; and Spirit Lake, directed by Duane Ites, at 8:28 p.m.
Other schools that will be performing include Akron-Westfield, Alta-Aurelia, Central Lyon, Forest City, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn, Kingsley-Pierson, Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn, Sheldon, Sibley-Ocheyedan and Spencer.
The public is welcome to attend.
