(Spirit Lake)– The Spirit Lake High School Jazz Band received a Division one superior rating at the State Jazz Band Festival this past Saturday at the Sami Center in Spirit Lake.
The jazz band earned the rating from each of the four judges.
Eight bands participated.
The next performance by the Spirit Lake High School Jazz Band will be at the Iowa Lakes Jazz Band Contest this Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. at the Estherville campus of Iowa Lakes Community College.
