SLHS J-Term Welding Students Lend Talent To Camp Foster Sculpture

(Spirit Lake)– Some Spirit Lake High School students have dedicated their time and talent toward a sculpture that will help Camp Foster celebrate its 100th summer of operations this year. The students are in the J-Term’s Art of Welding Class, instructed by Brad Travis and Bob Kirchner. They created a stainless steel sculpture that’s 27 feet tall and resembles a flame. The 100th year of operations at Camp Foster is also being commemorated by some building and remodeling projects. Carr says their official 100th year celebration will be held the weekend of September 21st through the 23rd…Click here for comment from Josh Carr
