(Spirit Lake)– A Spirit Lake teen was injured Monday evening when a moped he was driving collided with a parked vehicle in Spirit Lake.
Police say 15-year-old Kyle Erb of Spirit Lake was driving a 2009 Honda Moped eastbound on 16th Street when he lost control and collided with an unoccupied and properly parked vehicle owned by Converged Technologies of Spirit Lake.
Erb was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare and was transferred to Spencer Hospital. There was no word on the extent of his injuries or condition.
Two thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the moped driven by Erbs with 750-dollars in damage estimated to a 1988 Chevrolet truck owned by Converged Technologies.
The collision took place shortly after 7:00 p.m.
