(Spirit Lake)– Facilities discussion was back on the agenda for Monday’s Spirit Lake school board meeting. The board continues to look at what the next segment of its 15 year facility improvement plan. The project has a preliminary cost estimate of $6.7 million. Smith says they’re hoping to reduce that to $5.9 million. The board took no action on the matter Monday. Smith says there are some more options they want to consider before moving forward…(Click here to hear comment from Smith.).

The board was scheduled to discuss bonding for the project at last (Mon.) evening’s meeting, but that was scratched from the agenda after it was decided to look at various options to lower the cost of the project.
