(Spirit Lake)– The Spirit Lake school board has set Monday, September 19th as the date for a public hearing on a proposal to vacate the easterly eight fee of right-of-way along Jackson Avenue in the area of the district’s former Administration building.
The city council has already approved the measure and conveyed the right-of-way to the school district.
School officials say it’s needed to clarify the title to some land it’s selling to a developer, Spirit Lake Crossings, LLC, which plans to build townhouses on the adjoining land.
The hearing is set for 6:00 p.m. in the district board room at the high school.
