(Spirit Lake)– And then there were two.
The Spirit Lake school board has narrowed the list of candidates in the search for a new Superintendent to two.
The finalists are David Smith, who is currently Director of the Price Laboratory School at the University of Northern Iowa; and Mike Wells, who is currently Superintendent of the Corning Community School District in Corning.
The two finalists will undergo another round of interviews Tuesday and Wednesday, January 13th and 14th. The school board is then scheduled to meet in closed session at Noon Thursday, January 15th for a final evaluation of the candidates. Following that they’ll reconvene in open session at which time they’re expected to take formal action on hiring the new Superintendent.
