SL School Bd Adopts ’09-10 Budget; Surveillance Policy

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– The Spirit Lake school board voted unanimously Monday evening to adopt a surveillance policy; they approved an amended budget for the current fiscal year to reflect additional expenses and revenues; and adopted the budget for the upcoming fiscal year following a public hearing. The 2009-2010 budget reflects a decrease in the tax levy to $9.48 per one thousand dollars of valuation…compared to $9.51 currently.

The board also approved an agreement with Friends of the Sami Center. Terms call for the organization to hire an Executive Director who would be in charge of fundraising and scheduling events. School activities are to remain the number one priority for scheduling in the Sami Center.
