(Spirit Lake)– Spirit Lake police are requesting the public’s assistance into the investigation of a stolen log splitter.
Officers say the machine was taken from behind Gjerde Motors in Spirit Lake sometime between November 15th and New Year’s Eve. The log splitter is orange in color with horizontal and vertical splitting positions with a five horse power Briggs and Stratton engine. It has two wheels, a tongue and a coupler, making it easily towable.
Anyone with information into the incident is being asked to contact Dickinson County Crimestoppers at 336-2345. You may remain anonymous if you wish.
A $200 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
