(Arnolds Park)– Norm Meinking of Spirit Lake is this year’s winner in the Car Drop Contest on Smith’s Bay of West Lake Okoboji.
Meinking’s guess as to when the car would actually go through the ice was within just one minute of the time it actually took place, making him the winner of the $1,000 prize.
The shell of the car was retrieved Saturday along with a clock that indicated the time it went into the lake.
