(Sibley)—A Spirit Lake man escaped serious injury in a single vehicle rollover early this (Wed.) morning in Osceola county.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says 29-year-old Jeremiah Davis was driving 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound on Northwest Boulevard and was approaching the on ramp to exit 48 of Highway 60 northbound when he reached into the back seat to get a sweatshirt. Davis failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled several times before coming to rest on the driver’s side.
Davis sustained possible injuries but declined treatment on the scene.
$8,000 in damage was estimated to the vehicle.
Davis was cited for failure to maintain control and failure to prove security against liability.
The crash took place around 12:30 this (Wed.) morning.
