SL Education Hall Of Achievement To Hold Induction Ceremony

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– The Spirit Lake Hall of Achievement holds its annual induction ceremony this Sunday (June 5th) at 2:00 p.m. at the Sami Bedell Center for the Performing Arts.

Spokeswoman Teresa Golden says this will be their fifth induction ceremony.

Golden says the Hall of Achievement was formed to pay special tribute to those who have made exceptional contributions to education in Spirit Lake.

Golden says this year’s inductee is Kent Tritle, a 1979 graduate of Spirit Lake High School who has become a nationally and internationally known organist and choral director. He currently resides in New York City. Golden says Tritle will be in Spirit Lake in person at Sunday’s ceremony.

In addition, Golden says Sunday’s ceremony will also pay tribute all who will be retiring this year from the Spirit Lake Community Schools, along with others who will be recognized for their longevity with the district.

Distinguished awards for special accomplishments in music and track will also be presented to three instructors, along with special recognition for members of this year’s Honor Society.

A reception will follow Sunday’s ceremony.
