(Spirit Lake)– The Spirit Lake city council has cleared the way for another phase of the renovation of Memorial Park.
The city council Tuesday approved a bid of slightly more than $99,000 for new playground equipment in the park.
That’s in addition to a splash pad, new shelter house and restrooms, walkways and other amenities being included in the refurbished park. A local Kiwanis group raised funds for the splash pad portion of the project.
Construction started this past fall and will continue into the upcoming spring and summer months.
