(Spirit Lake)– The Spirit Lake city council once again Tuesday stopped short of voting to put a bond issue measure for a new city hall and remodeling of the police station on the ballot with the November General Election.
City Administrator Mark Stevens presented the council with six options that would lower the amount of the bond issue. The project has a total estimated cost of $3.2 million.
The city council will hold a work session August 2nd to further review the options.
They council has until September 23rd if the issue is to be included on the November ballot.
Plans still call for a new single-story facility on the site of the existing structure, with renovations to the existing Police Department several blocks to the north.
