(Spirit Lake)– Another major upgrade is about to get underway at the Spirit Lake Water Treatment Plant.
The city council Tuesday held a public hearing and bidletting on a project to replace the plant’s ozone system. The bid was awarded to Inustrial Process Technology of Mitchell, South Dakota. The company submitted the low bid of $514,810, which was below the engineer’s estimate of $555,000.

The new ozone unit will replace an existing one that’s been in operation since the mid 1980’s.
