(Spirit Lake)– A couple of dark areas in the city of Spirit Lake will soon be getting brighter.
The city council Tuesday adopted a resolution to install two new street lights on the south side of 28th Street between Hill and Erie Avenues east of the Middle School; and one light along the alleyway behind city hall.
The same resolution allows for the removal of some lights where they are no longer needed. Those include two lights at the intersections of 19th Street and Ithaca Avenue and 19th Street and Jackson Avenue on the south side of 19th Street; and two street lights in the Dickinson county courthouse parking lot.
