(Spirit Lake)—Spirit Lake residents may want to take some time this weekend to do some spring cleaning. The city will be holding it’s annual Spring Cleanup Days next week, May 13th-17th. The cleanup days will coincide with the day in which your garbage is normally picked up.
While it’s an opportunity to get rid of some things you otherwise probably wouldn’t, city officials remind residents there are some things they will NOT pick up. Those include anything hazardous, toxic or flammable. Tags will be required for white goods, electronic items, tires, box springs and mattresses. Tags are available for purchase year-round at city hall during regular office hours. Chairs and sofas will be picked up free during clean-up days.
City officials request items be placed at the curb no earlier than tomorrow (Saturday).
