SL Businessman Tom Bedell Announces Latest Venture: “Two Old Hippies”

November 22, 2014

(Arnolds Park)– Spirit Lake businessman and entrepreneur Tom Bedell is unveiling a new business he and his wife Molly have established.

It’s called “Two Old Hippies” and features the sale of vintage guitars, apparel, gifts and home products.

Bedell tells ExploreOkoboji the business is on a fast-track. He says they opened their flagship store in Aspen, Colorado in mid-June and plans are in the works to open a number of stores around the United States.

Even though the Two Old Hippies flagship store is in Colorado, Bedell says he plans to keep the company’s headquarters at Marble Lake Ranch on the northwest side of Big Spirit Lake.

Joining Bedell in the venture is a former co-worker of his at what was then Pure Fishing–Dennis Stulc. Stulc says he was thrilled when presented with the opportunity and is looking forward to taking Two Old Hippies to the next level–the distribution of Bedell Guitars. He says they’ll hold their first sales meeting in September.

An open house to introduce local residents and visitors to Two Old Hippies and their products was held Thursday at the Pavilion in arnolds Park.
