(Spirit Lake)—A search warrant executed around 10:00 p.m. Friday on an apartment in Spirit Lake landed two people in jail on multiple drug charges.
Police say they obtained and executed the warrant after getting a report of illegal drug activity at the apartment, located at 2707 Adams Avenue, apartment “B”.
Officers found and seized what’s believed to be methamphetamine and marijuana along with drug paraphernalia consisting of 39 syringes, methamphetamine pipes, marijuana pipes, a marijuana grinder, zig zags and a large amount of cash.
Two residents in the apartment, 25-year-old McKenzie McConnell and 29-year-old Michael Lorenzen, were both arrested and booked into jail. McConnell was charged with possession of methamphetamine…4th offense; possession of marijuana; prohibited acts; possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication. Lorenzen was charged with possession of marijuana…1st offense; prohibited acts and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Spirit Lake police were assisted by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office.
