(Spencer)– A Sioux City man faces charges after allegedly assaulting staff at the Clay County Jail.
According to a press release, 33-year-old Griffin McCauley was arrested over the weekend by Spencer police. The release states that McCauley allegedly assaulted a jail staff member while being booked. McCauley was additionally charged with assault on jail staff causing bodily injury…a class “D” felony.
The release says the staff member sustained a minor injury as a result of the incident.
